Located in East Fremantle, the Heritage listed home accommodation had become impractical for the young family that lived there. Giving the home new life, a glazed walkway and circulation zone was added between the existing home and a new 2 storey addition to the northern side of the home. The addition providing spacious light filled kitchen, living and dining areas with river views. A garage and multi-purpose space at ground level provide additional accommodation and play areas connecting to the backyard.

The contemporary addition provides a visual contrast to the heritage listed home, complementing the exterior through its rhythm and vertical lines and simple forms and materials.
